How to Pit Olives?

Rinse the olives and pat them dry

Place one olive on a cutting board

Press down gently with the flat side of a knife to crack the flesh

Remove the pit with your fingers

Or use a cherry pitter or olive pitter to push the pit out

For sliced olives, cut around the pit with a paring knife

Discard the pits

Repeat with the remaining olives
