How To Plant Lavender Seeds?

Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil

Start seeds indoors 8 to 12 weeks before the last frost

Fill seed trays or small pots with a light seed-starting mix

Moisten the soil lightly before planting

Scatter seeds on the surface of the soil

Press seeds gently into the soil without covering them deeply

Cover seeds with a very thin layer of fine soil or vermiculite if needed

Mist the surface lightly to keep it damp

Cover trays with a humidity dome or plastic wrap until germination

Place trays in a warm spot with bright light

Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy

Remove the cover once seedlings emerge

Transplant seedlings into larger pots after they develop several true leaves

Harden off seedlings before moving them outdoors

Plant outdoors after all frost danger has passed

Space plants about 12 to 24 inches apart

Water lightly after transplanting

Avoid overwatering once plants are established
