Continue shooting as long as you legally pocket a ball
Win by legally pocketing the 9 ball
If you foul, your opponent gets ball in hand according to the rules being used
If the 9 ball is pocketed on a legal shot, you win immediately
If the 9 ball is pocketed on a foul, it is spotted or the shot is ruled according to the rules being used
Call shots only if required by the rule set being used
Keep turns only after legal shots
Avoid scratching, jumping the cue ball off the table, or hitting the wrong ball first
