How to Prepare Brown Rice in Rice Cooker?

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear

Add the rinsed rice to the rice cooker

Add water using the rice cooker’s brown rice line, or use about 2 to 2.5 cups of water per 1 cup of brown rice

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Close the lid and select the brown rice setting if your cooker has one

Start the rice cooker

Let the rice cook until the cycle finishes

Keep the lid closed and let the rice rest for 10 to 15 minutes after cooking

Fluff the rice with a fork or rice paddle before serving
