Wash the pineapple under running water
Place it on a cutting board
Cut off the top crown and the bottom base
Stand the pineapple upright
Slice off the skin from top to bottom in strips
Remove any remaining eyes with a small knife
Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise
Cut each half into quarters if desired
Remove the tough core from each section
Slice, cube, or spear the pineapple as needed
Store cut pineapple in an airtight container in the refrigerator
