How To Pull Out A Bathtub?

Turn off water to the bathroom

Cut and remove caulk around the tub edges

Remove any wall material covering the tub flange

Disconnect the drain and overflow plumbing from access below or behind the tub

Protect the floor with drop cloths or plywood

Cut through any screws, nails, or fasteners securing the tub to framing or subfloor

Break the tub into manageable sections if it will not fit through the doorway

Pry the tub loose from the alcove or platform

Lift and remove the tub with assistance

Clear out all remaining debris and fasteners

Inspect the subfloor and framing for damage before installing a new tub
