Wet your hair slightly if needed
Gather and smooth your hair back
Remove earrings, hairpins, and sharp accessories
Hold the swim cap with both hands
Open the cap wide with the opening facing down
Place the front edge on your forehead
Pull the cap back over the top of your head
Tuck all hair inside the cap
Adjust the cap so it sits snugly and evenly
Smooth out wrinkles and trapped air
Check that the cap covers your ears as desired
