Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner
Select Restart
Confirm if prompted
Wait for the MacBook to reboot
If the MacBook is frozen, press and hold the power button until it turns off
Wait a few seconds
Press the power button again to turn it back on
If using a Touch ID button, press and hold it until the MacBook shuts down
Press it again to restart the MacBook
