Look for a charging icon in the battery menu bar icon
Check if the battery icon shows a lightning bolt
Click the battery icon to see if it says “Charging”
Check whether the battery percentage is increasing
Look for an amber or green light on the MagSafe connector
Verify the charging sound or connection chime when plugging in
Check System Settings > Battery for charging status
Make sure the power adapter is firmly connected to the MacBook and outlet
Try a different cable, adapter, or outlet if it is not charging
