Let the adhesive dry completely if it is still wet
Gently rub the area with a clean, dry eraser
Use a piece of tape to lift small adhesive residue
Apply heat briefly with a hair dryer on low, if the paper can handle it
Scrape carefully with a plastic card or fingernail
Dab lightly with a cotton swab and a small amount of rubbing alcohol on sturdy paper
Test any liquid on a corner first
Use a gum eraser for stubborn spots
Place the paper in a freezer for a short time if the adhesive is waxy or gummy
Avoid soaking the paper
Let the paper dry flat after treatment
