Select the text you want to clear formatting from
On the Home tab, click Clear All Formatting in the Font group
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Spacebar to remove character formatting
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Q to remove paragraph formatting
Paste as plain text to avoid bringing in formatting
Use the Format Painter to copy only the desired formatting if needed
Open the Styles pane and apply a different style or the Normal style
Use Find and Replace to remove specific formatting from selected text
If needed, select all text with Ctrl+A and clear formatting for the entire document
