Shut off the water supply
Open a faucet to relieve pressure
Verify the line is drained
Use a SharkBite disconnect clip or disconnect tongs
Select the correct size for the fitting
Place the clip around the pipe
Press the fitting’s release collar toward the body of the fitting
Pull the pipe out while holding the collar in place
Repeat for the other side if needed
Inspect the pipe end for damage
Cut off damaged pipe if necessary
Clean and deburr the pipe before reuse
