How To Replace A Bathtub Faucet?

Turn off the water supply to the bathtub.

Open the faucet to relieve any remaining pressure.

Remove the handle and trim plate.

Unscrew and remove the old faucet spout or valve trim.

Disconnect the old faucet assembly if needed.

Clean the mounting area and remove old plumber’s tape or sealant.

Check that the new faucet matches the existing plumbing setup.

Wrap threaded connections with plumber’s tape if required.

Install the new faucet or spout and tighten securely.

Reattach the handle and trim plate.

Turn the water supply back on.

Test the faucet for leaks and proper operation.
