How To Replace A Shower Head?

Turn off the water supply to the shower (or shut off the main water if needed)

Remove the shower head by hand if it’s a threaded model

If it’s stuck, use an adjustable wrench while holding the shower arm with another wrench to prevent damage

Wrap plumber’s tape (PTFE) clockwise around the shower arm threads

Attach the new shower head by hand, then tighten slightly with a wrench

Reconnect any hose/adapter if your shower head uses one

Turn the water back on and check for leaks around the connection

If leaking, shut off the water, adjust the fit, and reapply plumber’s tape as needed

Test the shower pattern and temperature settings to confirm proper operation
