Turn off power to the well pump at the breaker
Shut off water to the system
Open a faucet to relieve pressure
Disconnect the pump wiring
Disconnect the plumbing connections
Remove the old pump from the well or pump housing
Inspect the drop pipe, wiring, fittings, and check valve
Replace any damaged parts
Install the new pump
Reconnect the plumbing connections
Reconnect the wiring
Prime the pump if required
Restore power to the pump
Check for leaks
Test water flow and pressure
Verify proper pump operation
