Disconnect the negative battery cable
Locate the alternator
Release the serpentine belt tension
Remove the belt from the alternator pulley
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the alternator
Remove the alternator mounting bolts
Lift out the old alternator
Position the new alternator in place
Install and tighten the mounting bolts
Reconnect the electrical connectors
Route the belt back onto the pulley
Reapply belt tension
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Start the engine and check for proper charging operation
