Turn off the engine and let it cool
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Relieve fuel system pressure
Locate the gas filter
Place a container or absorbent material under the filter
Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter
Remove the old filter
Install the new filter in the correct flow direction
Reconnect the fuel lines securely
Reinstall any clamps or brackets
Reconnect the negative battery terminal
Start the engine and check for leaks
Dispose of the old filter properly
