Disconnect the negative battery cable
Relieve fuel system pressure
Drain or lower the fuel tank if needed
Raise and secure the vehicle
Remove any shields, straps, or access covers
Disconnect the fuel lines, electrical connectors, and vent hoses
Support the fuel tank with a jack
Remove the tank straps and lower the tank
Remove the fuel pump module retaining ring or fasteners
Lift out the old fuel pump assembly
Transfer any needed parts to the new pump assembly
Install the new fuel pump assembly
Install the retaining ring or fasteners
Reinstall the fuel tank
Reconnect the fuel lines, electrical connectors, and vent hoses
Reinstall straps, shields, and access covers
Refill the tank with fuel
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Turn the key on and check for leaks
Start the engine and verify proper operation
