How To Repot Plants?

Choose a pot with drainage holes that is 1 to 2 inches larger than the current pot

Water the plant lightly a few hours before repotting

Prepare fresh potting mix suited to the plant type

Remove the plant gently from its current pot

Loosen the roots carefully

Trim any dead, damaged, or rotting roots

Add a layer of fresh potting mix to the new pot

Place the plant in the new pot at the same soil level as before

Fill around the roots with fresh potting mix

Press the soil lightly to remove air pockets

Water the plant thoroughly after repotting

Place the plant in appropriate light and avoid direct harsh sun for a short time

Do not fertilize immediately after repotting

Monitor the plant for signs of stress over the next few weeks
