Turn off or unplug appliances and devices on the affected circuit
Locate the electrical panel
Find the breaker that is in the tripped position, usually halfway between on and off
Switch the breaker fully to the off position
Switch the breaker back to the on position
If it trips again, leave it off and contact a licensed electrician
If you smell burning, see damage, or hear buzzing, do not reset it and call a professional immediately
