Open the lock using the current combination
Locate the reset tool or reset lever, depending on the model
Turn the shackle 90 degrees or 180 degrees as required by the lock model
Press the shackle down or move the reset mechanism into the reset position
Set the dials to the new combination
Return the shackle or reset mechanism to the normal position
Scramble the dials
Test the new combination before locking it again
