Open the Phone app
Tap Recents
Check for missed calls from the blocked contact
Open the Messages app
Look for any existing conversation with the blocked contact
Check the blocked list in Settings
Go to Settings
Tap Messages
Tap Blocked Contacts
Review the blocked numbers and contacts
Unblock a contact if you want to receive messages again
Go to Settings
Tap Messages
Tap Blocked Contacts
Swipe left on the contact
Tap Unblock
Check if the sender used a different number or email
Ask the sender to resend the message after unblocking
Check if the message was filtered by Unknown Senders
Go to Settings
Tap Messages
Turn on Filter Unknown Senders if needed
Check the Unknown Senders tab in Messages
Contact your carrier if you need message delivery records
Restore from an iCloud or computer backup if messages were deleted before blocking
