Open Instagram and go to the story you want to share
Tap the paper airplane or share icon
Select Add post to your story if available
Edit the story if needed
Tap Your story to post it
If the share option is not available, ask the person to tag you
If you are tagged in the story, open your DM notification
Tap Add to your story from the message
Post it to your story
If the account is private, you may not be able to share the story unless you are tagged
