Stop drinking alcohol immediately

Avoid more alcohol, drugs, or sedatives
Get fresh air if you feel nauseated or dizzy
Sip fluids slowly if you are vomiting
Rest and wait for time to pass
Have a sober person stay with you if possible
Call emergency services if you have trouble breathing, cannot stay awake, have seizures, or cannot be awakened
