Keep the pit in the unused half
Brush or drizzle the cut surface with lemon or lime juice
Coat the cut surface lightly with olive oil
Wrap tightly with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the flesh
Store in an airtight container
Keep the avocado cold in the refrigerator
Leave the skin on until ready to use
Use a vacuum-sealed bag if available
Sprinkle with a little salt before storing
Add the avocado to a dish with acidic ingredients right away
Cut only what you plan to use immediately
