Drink oral rehydration solution (ORS) in small, frequent sips
Drink clean water, coconut water, or clear fluids
Eat bland foods like bananas, rice, toast, applesauce, and crackers
Avoid spicy, oily, fried, and heavy foods
Avoid milk, dairy products, caffeine, alcohol, and carbonated drinks
Rest as much as possible
Wash hands regularly and keep food and water hygienic
Take zinc supplements if appropriate and recommended by a doctor
Use loperamide only if suitable for adults and not with fever or blood in stool
Seek medical help if there is blood in stool, high fever, severe pain, dehydration, or diarrhea lasting more than 2 days
Seek urgent care for infants, elderly people, pregnant women, or anyone with weakness or signs of dehydration
