Read the pill pack instructions and follow the schedule exactly
Take one pill at the same time every day
Start the first pack as directed by the package or your healthcare provider
Take active pills in order until the pack is finished
If your pack includes placebo or reminder pills, take them after the active pills
Start the next pack immediately after finishing the current pack
If you miss a pill, follow the missed-pill instructions on the package
Use backup contraception if instructed after missed pills or when starting late
Keep taking the pills daily even during bleeding unless told otherwise
Store pills in a cool, dry place away from children
