Take each lower dose consistently for the planned time before the next reduction
Slow the taper if withdrawal symptoms appear
Contact your prescriber if you have severe dizziness, nausea, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, or flu-like symptoms
Seek urgent help if you have suicidal thoughts, severe mood changes, or signs of a serious reaction
Keep follow-up appointments during the taper
Avoid alcohol and other substances that may worsen side effects
Do not change other psychiatric medicines without medical guidance
