Place the lens on the tip of your finger and look at its shape from the side
If the edges flare outward like a bowl, it is likely inside out
If the edges curve upward smoothly like a perfect cup, it is likely right side out
Check whether the lens forms a neat U shape or a more flared V shape
Look for the edge tint: a lens that looks more open and less rounded is often inside out
Pinch test the lens gently between your fingers; if the edges spread apart easily, it may be inside out
Place the lens on your fingertip and compare it to a taco shape; a taco shape usually means right side out
If the lens looks like a soup bowl with the rim turned outward, it is likely inside out
Check for markings if your brand has them
If the lens feels uncomfortable immediately after insertion, it may be inside out
If vision is blurry or the lens does not sit centered, it may be inside out
