Wash and dry your hands thoroughly
Stand in front of a mirror with good lighting
Look up and pull down your lower eyelid with one finger
Use the pad of your fingertip, not the nail, to touch the lens
Slide the contact down onto the white of your eye
Pinch the lens gently between the pads of your thumb and index finger
Remove the lens carefully without using the nail tips
If needed, use the side of your finger instead of the fingertip
Keep your nails angled away from the eye
Blink a few times if the lens feels stuck, then try again
Use rewetting drops if the lens is dry
Consider using a suction tool made for contact removal
Trim or file nails shorter if removal is difficult
Stop and seek help if the eye becomes painful, red, or irritated
