How To Tie Dye Shirts?

Gather a plain shirt, fabric dye, rubber bands, gloves, plastic wrap or a plastic bag, and a bucket or squeeze bottles

Wash the shirt first and leave it slightly damp

Decide on a tie-dye pattern

Twist, fold, crumple, or spiral the shirt into the desired shape

Secure the shirt tightly with rubber bands

Mix the dye according to the package instructions

Put on gloves

Apply dye to different sections of the shirt

Flip the shirt and apply dye to the other side if needed

Wrap the shirt in plastic wrap or place it in a plastic bag

Let the dye set for the recommended time

Rinse the shirt under cold water until the water runs mostly clear

Remove the rubber bands

Wash the shirt separately in cold water

Dry the shirt according to the fabric care instructions
