Update both consoles to the latest system software
Connect both consoles to Wi-Fi
On the source Switch, open System Settings
Select Data Management
Select Transfer Your Save Data or System Transfer if available
Follow the on-screen prompts on both consoles
Sign in to the same Nintendo Account on both consoles if required
Keep both consoles near each other during the transfer
Make sure both consoles stay powered on until the transfer finishes
Transfer digital games by redownloading them from the Nintendo eShop on the new console
Re-download save data from Nintendo Switch Online if you use cloud saves
Move screenshots and videos manually using a microSD card or a computer if needed
Check that the transfer completed successfully on the new console
