Open the Messages app
Tap your profile icon or the three-dot menu
Tap Messages settings
Tap RCS chats or Chat features
Turn off Send read receipts
If needed, open the specific app’s settings and disable read receipts there
For WhatsApp, go to Settings > Privacy > Read receipts and turn it off
For Instagram, open the chat, tap the person’s name, and turn off read receipts if available
For other messaging apps, check Privacy or Chat settings for read receipt options
