Open the Messages app
Tap your profile icon or the three-dot menu
Go to Messages settings
Tap RCS chats or Chat features
Turn on RCS chats
Confirm your phone number if prompted
Make sure mobile data or Wi-Fi is on
Update the Messages app if RCS is not available
Check that your carrier supports RCS
Restart your phone if the setting does not appear
