Open the Ring app
Select your Ring Doorbell device
Tap Device Settings
Tap General Settings
Tap Motion Settings
Turn off Motion Detection
Tap Video Settings
Turn off Live View if desired
Tap Alerts Settings
Turn off motion alerts and doorbell alerts
Open Modes and Automations if available
Set the device to Disarmed or off mode
Remove the battery if your model uses a removable battery
Turn off power at the breaker if your doorbell is wired
Disable the device from the Ring app if you want it inactive
Uninstall the device from the Ring app if you want it fully removed
