Avoid caffeine, smoking, and exercise for 30 minutes before measuring

Take 2 readings, 1 minute apart

Record the date, time, and readings

Follow your doctor’s instructions for when and how often to check

Do not stop or change medicine without medical advice

Track your readings and share them with your healthcare provider
