Check the condom package for damage and expiration date
Open the package carefully with your fingers, not teeth or sharp objects
Make sure the condom is right-side up
Pinch the tip to leave space for semen
Place the condom on the tip of the erect penis
Roll it all the way down to the base of the penis
If it will not roll down, it may be inside out; use a new one
Use water-based or silicone-based lubricant if needed
After ejaculation, hold the condom at the base while pulling out
Remove the condom carefully to avoid spilling
Tie it off or wrap it in tissue and throw it in the trash
Use a new condom every time you have sex
