How To Write From Address?

Use your full name or company name

Include your street address (with apartment/suite number if applicable)

Include city, state/province, and ZIP/postal code

Include country (if mailing internationally)

Place the “From” address in the top-left of the page or letterhead

Use the same format as the address you would write on an envelope

Example format:

John A. Smith

123 Main St, Apt 4B

Springfield, IL 62704

USA

Example format (company):

Smith & Co.

Attn: Accounts Receivable

500 Market Street, Suite 1200

San Francisco, CA 94105

USA

If using email, include “From:” in the header (email clients handle this automatically)

If using a formal letter, align the “From” block to the left margin and leave a blank line after it before the date
