Power off the laptop and unplug it
Let the surface cool completely
Peel off as much of the sticker as possible with your fingernail or a plastic card
Dampen a microfiber cloth with a small amount of warm water
Gently rub the residue
Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to a cloth and wipe the residue
Use a little dish soap mixed with water for stubborn residue
Wipe the area with a clean damp cloth
Dry the surface immediately with a soft cloth
Use a plastic scraper or old credit card for thick residue
Avoid using metal tools
Avoid soaking the laptop
Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the laptop
Test any cleaner on a small hidden area first
Repeat as needed until the residue is gone
