Plug in the Amazon Echo
Wait for the light ring to turn orange
Download the Alexa app on your phone or tablet
Sign in with your Amazon account
Open the Alexa app
Tap Devices
Tap the plus icon
Tap Add Device
Select Amazon Echo
Choose your Echo model
Follow the on-screen setup instructions
Connect the Echo to your Wi-Fi network
Enter the Wi-Fi password
Wait for the setup to complete
Test the Echo by saying “Alexa” followed by a command
