Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole
Seal it in an airtight container
Add a thin layer of lime or lemon juice on top before sealing
Refrigerate immediately
Store for up to 1 to 2 days for best quality
Keep the pit in the guacamole if desired, but do not rely on it alone
Stir off any browned top layer before serving
Do not leave guacamole at room temperature for long
Freeze only if necessary, in a freezer-safe airtight container
Thaw frozen guacamole in the refrigerator before using
