Turn off power to the bathroom fan at the breaker
Verify the power is off with a voltage tester
Remove the fan cover
Remove the fan housing screws or mounting hardware
Disconnect the wiring from the old fan
Disconnect the duct from the fan if attached
Remove the old fan from the ceiling
Compare the new fan to the old opening and wiring
Install any needed mounting brackets or support
Connect the duct to the new fan
Connect the wiring to the new fan
Secure the new fan in place
Reinstall the fan cover
Restore power at the breaker
Test the fan for proper operation
