How to Get Pen Ink Out of Carpet?

Blot the ink immediately with a clean white cloth or paper towel

Do not rub the stain

Place a towel under the carpet if possible

Test any cleaner on a hidden area first

Apply rubbing alcohol to a clean cloth

Dab the ink stain gently from the outside toward the center

Replace the cloth as it absorbs ink

Repeat until no more ink transfers

Blot with cold water to remove residue

Apply a small amount of dish soap mixed with water if needed

Dab again with a clean cloth

Rinse lightly with cold water

Blot dry with a towel

Sprinkle baking soda on the area after cleaning

Vacuum once fully dry

Repeat the process if the stain remains
