Get out of the sun immediately
Move to a cool, shaded, or air-conditioned place
Drink plenty of water or electrolyte fluids
Apply cool, damp compresses to the affected skin
Take a cool bath or shower
Use aloe vera gel or a gentle fragrance-free moisturizer
Take an over-the-counter pain reliever if needed, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen
Avoid further sun exposure until healed
Wear loose, soft clothing
Do not pop blisters
Cover the skin with a clean, dry bandage if needed
Use sunscreen and protective clothing after recovery
Seek medical care if there are large blisters, severe pain, fever, dizziness, vomiting, signs of infection, or trouble breathing
