Open the Google Document
Make your edits
Wait for Google Docs to save automatically
Check the status near the top for “Saving…” or “Saved to Drive”
Use File > Download to save a copy on your device
Use File > Make a copy to save an editable duplicate in Google Drive
Use Ctrl+S on Windows or Command+S on Mac if needed to trigger saving status
Ensure you are connected to the internet for automatic saving
