Use the Ring/Silent switch if your iPad has one
Open Control Center
Drag the volume slider all the way down
Turn on Do Not Disturb or Focus mode
Go to Settings
Tap Sounds
Turn off alert sounds where available
Turn on Silent Mode if available on your model
Mute individual apps from their in-app settings
Lower media volume in the app you are using
