Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner
Select Restart
Click Restart again if prompted
Wait for the MacBook to shut down and reboot
If the Mac is frozen, press and hold the power button until it turns off
Wait a few seconds
Press the power button again to turn it back on
If using Touch ID, press and hold the Touch ID button until the MacBook shuts down
Press the power button again to restart it
If needed, use Control + Command + Power button to force a restart
