Remove seeds from a ripe apple
Rinse seeds to remove fruit residue
Soak seeds in water for 24 hours
Place seeds in a damp paper towel
Seal the paper towel in a plastic bag
Store the bag in the refrigerator
Keep the seeds cold for 6 to 8 weeks
Check regularly for moisture and mold
Move sprouted seeds to small pots with soil
Plant each seed about 1/2 inch deep
Keep soil moist but not soggy
Place pots in a warm, bright location
Wait for seedlings to emerge
