Use Motrin (ibuprofen) and Tylenol (acetaminophen) only if they are safe for you or your child
Follow the dosing instructions on the package or from a clinician
Give one medicine first
Wait the recommended dosing interval before giving the same medicine again
Alternate the medicines so a dose of one is given between doses of the other
Keep a written schedule with the exact time and dose of each medicine
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose for either medicine
Do not give Motrin to infants under 6 months unless told by a clinician
Do not give more than one product containing acetaminophen at the same time
