Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C)
Place ham in a roasting pan, cut-side down if applicable
Add a small amount of liquid to the pan (water, broth, or juice) to prevent drying
Score the surface of the ham lightly (optional)
Apply glaze if desired during the last part of cooking
Cover with foil and bake until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) for fully cooked ham
For partially cooked ham, bake until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C)
Remove foil for the last 15–30 minutes if glazing
Brush on glaze and re-glaze every 10–15 minutes if desired
Rest ham 10–20 minutes before slicing
Slice and serve
